currently there's only 2 metro lines (M1 and M2), but im lucky and there's a station on my corner and there's a plan to build 3 more lines by 2050!

it's also the only subway in poland (theres a reason why warsaw starts and ends with W)

so naturally im comparing it in nyc in my head, but generally the metro fits the category of very nice european metros. super clean, really wide platforms and stations (warsaw is way less dense and the stations reflect that). tickets are cheap too

i havent gotten an unlimited card yet, so ive just been using paper tickets. but the tickets work on a different system from nyc. where nyc you pay for every time you enter the system, in warsaw and most metro systems, you pay for a ticket that will last a certain amount of time. so you can enter and exit as many times as you want within that time frame (20 min, 75 min or 90 min)

back to more commentary...

so i learned that there are some trains here in warsaw (alstom metropolis 98b on the M1) that sound very similar to nyc R142s (2, 4, 5 trains), because they were made by the same company at about the same time! cool stuff

it sucked getting fined today, but the highlight was when this older guy heard me and mila speaking english on the train and was like "woah, i can understand you guys" and started talking in polish about how he learned some english from tv and music and the radio

then we had to leave and he gave us his. absolutely legendary business card.

decided to vlog this one too! i also added my basic thoughts on the warsaw tram. also i should note, this isnt my first time taking the tram, just my first time since becoming interested in transit :]

took the HBLR the night before i left new jersey for good (nov 1st)! reagan wanted to vlog it, then i edited it and added my thoughts at the end

i was with gale and reagan downtown when we stepped onto a grate and gale realized that we could see the tracks underneath! i used my super smart logic skillz and guessed that we were looking at the tracks for the lexington line going downtown. i was proven right because gale was looking at the train arrival times on his phone!

queensboro plaza station is so great, most famously the only station with cross platform transfer of both A and B divisions! 10/10

42nd st times square on the Q express track, was just sitting there til my train arrived, around 4 o clock

14 st union sq, caught this one leaving the 456 platform (i forgot to check which track...) just now at 10pm. this one had a crane car they both had room to carry sruff but were just empty...

it has worked a total one 1 time !!

sam told me that this sounds like a phineas and ferb song which makes me like it even more. great song, REALLY good instrumental, the album art is gorgeous, the lyrics and jokes are great

3. "I'll Wait For You - G Train Song" by Ross Brunetti

this is another comedy song so its hard not to compare. overall just not...as good..as paravonian's...but still really fun, i love the lyrics in the bridge. however would you believe me if i said someone made a roblox music video recreation?? would you believe me if i said ANOTHer person made a different roblox music video??? (that second one is worse though tbh. train fans are everywhere oh my god

4. "G Train" by Chip and the Crosstown Express

tbh this song is just kinda. boring im sorryy especially because this band is named after the G train but the mixing is nice just not my thing. does have a little train sample though!!

5. "G Train" ft. Pusha T by Thirdstory

most popular song on here by far. ngl i just dont like this so much, im not big on this genre of pop. idk...its funny the weird amount of a capella covers i accidentally found though

6. "G Train Freestyle" by Prvnci

i like the beat but thats kinda it...none of the lyrics have anything to do with the g train and the art is AI generated sooo yeah ur last buddy
